"Our very being, essence, health, and happiness depend on Mother Earth" - David Suzuki
We are celebrating Earth Day the best way we know how: taking time to soak in all the simple beauties nature has to offer!
Often times, modern life can lead us to living disconnected from nature and feeling like it is "us" against the great outdoors. We forget just how much a part of nature we are. From supplying the food we eat to keeping our immune systems robust and synthesizing Vitamin D from sunlight... Mother Nature certainly has a hand in supporting life as well as our health. It is important to take a step back and appreciate how truly connected we are with the natural environment. We are just one more integral part woven into the web of life.
Nature is constantly providing answers for our health from the sun keeping our circadian rhythm in cycle to providing local nutrients for our whole foods to grow and thrive to even having an impact on many of our internal pathways to help us fight infection and combat mental illness.
We encourage all of you to celebrate Earth Day this Thursday (and nature every day!) by taking a moment to focus on the simple beauties of nature. Watch the morning sunrise, listen to the birds singing or the wind swish through the trees. We hope reconnecting with nature brings both the planet and ourselves into a state of better health.
