Defend

Defend(v.)  /dəˈfend/
  • Disconnect from anything getting in the way of function—avoid toxins and exposures not meant for humans—to allow your cells to function normally and without distraction.  
This week is all about defending the body. It's obvious that we want to defend our body against infections and chronic diseases but to be on the offense, we must make defending ourselves part of our daily routine. This means avoiding toxins and limit exposures not meant for our bodies.

Spend Less, Sleep More
There is no questioning it - sleep can make or break our functional health. However, so many struggle to get the sleep needed to nourish their bodies and fuel their day. Making sleep a priority is central to a functional lifestyle and can be done easily with some simple hacks. ​

Skin care, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies don't get much attention when it comes to functional health. Many of the products available contain harmful ingredients that could compromise cellular health.
